One of the less physically hard Huayhuash treks with a gentle start, and extra days spent at some campsites to either do a beautiful part \/ full day hike or just relax at camp and enjoy the the pampa at Huanuco Viejo and visiting the interesting Inca Ruins there, followed by an almost flat first day hiking to Laguna Carhuacocha<\/li><li>Two rest days are included at beautiful campsites by the lakes at Laguna Carhuacocha and Laguna Jahuacocha \u2013 great for children (and parents) to have a relaxing day, maybe try from trout fishing in the lakes!<\/li><li>There are several high culture with a sun festival held on a remote pampa at Inca Ruina &#8211; and Cordillera Huayhuash hiking \u2013 a real treat for families<\/i><\/p><p>In July we have a special Huayhuash trek to coincide with the exciting and colourful Inti Raymi Inca Sun Festival held at Huanuco Viejo.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span> The Inti Raymi was the most important festival in the Inca Empire to worship the Sun God &#8211; the Source of life. Thanks are given for the year\u2019s harvest and prayers made for good weather and harvests for the coming year. The festival is celebrated each year on 27 July, and involves some 600 local Inca descendants dancers and actors dressed in traditional Inca costumes.<\/p><p>We stay two nights at Huanuco Viejo so that we can relax and enjoy the atmosphere, colours and excitement of the festival.<\/p><p>After the festival we then continue on to Laguna Carhuacocha to begin the Cordillera Huayhuash Mini
